Thumb Wrestling Federation Is the Champ on BBC

Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF has fought off the competition and walked away with the ultimate prize – being crowned the most watched children’s show in the UK. Broadcast magazine’s July 25th 2008 carried the news as part of its ratings round up, listing the TWF transmission on July 14th at the top of the children’s pile above other popular shows such as Grange Hill and Newsround.

Created by Animation Collective, an independent creator of children’s entertainment in the U.S., TWF is stripped across both BBC1 and BBC2’s children’s programming and daily on the CBBC channel. The BBC has bought all four seasons of the series, with the fourth currently in production due to be delivered in the fall.

Licensed by Bulldog, the list of UK TWF licensees continues to grow. DVDs from Delta are on the shelves at major retailers, with products from Sambro, Aykroyds/TDP, Roy Lowe & Sons, Panini, Random House and Danilo already sold into stores for fall.
