New Season of Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF Hits the Ring Saturday, 4/4

New York – April 3, 2009 – Fans of the down and dirty wrestling parody Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF are gearing up for this Saturday’s brand new season premiere. Featuring new characters, matches and the usual over-the-top thumbtastic action, Season 3 of the hit show will debut April 4th on Cartoon Network during the popular Saturday morning “Crush Zone” block.

In conjunction with the new season premiere, kids can experience new features online on the show’s interactive website, www.thumbwrestlingfederation.com.  Saturday marks the launch of a brand new online game “Smash Attack” and a TWF soundboard, “Talkin’ Trash with TWF.” Young thumb wrestlers can also test their own thumb wrestling skills with the “TWF Royal Thumble” game, create their own masks with the “TWF Mask Maker,” and customize artwork using the show’s characters and designs, then download, print or share their creations with friends.

Created and produced by New York based Animation Collective, Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF airs in multiple countries around the world and continues to build its audience each week on Cartoon Network in the US.

“We are so thrilled about how well TWF is doing on Cartoon Network and we can’t wait to unleash more hilarious fun with this new season,” said Larry Schwarz, the show’s creator and CEO of Animation Collective.

Fans of the show should stay tuned for the series launch on iTunes and Xbox LIVE later this month.

About Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF

The live-action, short-format comedy series is a thumb-sized view of a fictional sports league. With larger than life wrestling personalities, thumb on thumb contact, and two wacky commentators, TWF brings to life the battle between the Mighty Dexteras and the evil Sinistras, a classic good versus evil showdown between 56 original characters. The short-format segments include one-minute wrestler bios, 45-second gags, and three-and-a-half-minute thumb wrestling matches.
