As one of the U.S.’s leading independent creators of children’s entertainment, Animation Collective has original content in more than eighty countries and in fifteen languages on platforms including television, broadband, wireless, books, games and consumer products.  Proprietary productions include:Kappa Mikey, MTVN and Nickelodeon's first global acquisition for Nicktoons Network and Nickelodeon; Three Delivery for Nicktoons Network, Nickelodeon Australia, YTV, Canal+ and the BBC; Thumb Wrestling Federation:TWF for Cartoon Network in the U.S., Asia, Australia and Spain, YTV and the BBC; and Ellen’s Acres for Cartoon Network, Canal+, Al Jazeera and ABC Australia.  Work-for-hire productions include Speed Racer: The Next Generation for Nicktoons Network and Lionsgate Entertainment.  Animation Collective is the largest provider of original content for KOL, America Online’s kids channel and Red, its teen channel.  At its three studios in midtown Manhattan, Animation Collective employs over one hundred artists, animators, and producers.  Larry Schwarz, the company's founder and CEO, is the creator and executive producer of all its original series.  


About Larry Schwarz

Larry Schwarz is the creator and executive producer of all Animation Collective’s original television series.

Prior to Animation Collective, Schwarz founded Rumpus, the multimedia children’s entertainment company. Rumpus operated kids’ entertainment and community websites Rumpus.com and Zeeks.com, and also produced interactive programming.

Rumpus.com was the first website to receive the National Parenting Seal of Approval and was voted Best Kid’s Website by Netguide and Time Magazine. Zeeks.com was one of the most widely visited kid’s sites on the Internet. Rumpus.com was programmed as the first online kid’s television network and featured some of the most innovative web-based content, from interactive games to regularly scheduled animated and live action series and films based on properties created, developed and produced by Schwarz.

Prior to founding Rumpus, Schwarz was the CEO of VIAM Communications, the publishers of the Vietnam Business Journal and Vietnam’s first countrywide Yellow Pages. Prior to that, Schwarz published H Magazine, a seasonal entertainment and lifestyle magazine for the Hamptons resort area of New York.

Schwarz has lectured on marketing, product development and entrepreneurship at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Oxford University, Eton and many other schools. He has been a frequent guest on business new shows on CNN, CNBC, Fox News and NPR and has been profiled in leading business publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The LA Times, The Financial Times, The Sunday Times of London, Fortune, and Time for Kids magazines.
